Women’s Issues & PCOS

I work closely with area gynecologists and endocrinologists, who feel confident in the quality of the care I provide to their patients.

I am happy to provide individualized nutrition therapy for all stages of a woman’s life. Young girls and teens may be poorly fueled and need help learning to care for their changing bodies. Menstruation irregularities are common when women skip meals, diet to lose weight, over-exercise, or feel stressed. Pregnancy is a special time to focus on health, and women may want help getting back in to shape after babies are born. In our 40’s and 50’s women’s bodies change yet again, sometimes in unwanted ways, gaining weight and losing bone density and muscle mass.

Women and girls diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) are a unique group needing the very specialized nutrition care I can provide. I will help you understand PCOS and insulin resistance, teach you to handle symptoms, and develop a treatment plan based on your health and goals.
